Jul 29, 03 08:24 pm — What the hell is up with T.V. these days? I used to think that all the good shows came on cable and satalite( two things I've never had) but as of late its all crapy reality shows. And they're not even shows based on reality case and point "The Queer Eye for the Striaght Guy". I mean come on people in the T.V. business must think all viewers are Nunking Futs! Who the hell wants to watch something that is total crap. I could understand th surviver like shows because really all they were were game shows. But shows like "Who wants to Marry my Dad" and " Boy meets Boy" are just crap. I never thought I'd say this but I'm glad I only have the very very basic cable with mostly local channels and AMC. I'm glad that my parents are too cheap to upgrade to regular cable and that they think there's nothing good on T.V. becuase the bottom line is that there isn't anything good on cable or satalite. So there's my rant thanks for listenin'.

Queer eye for the Straight guy is such a stuuuuuuupid show. i think it's the funniest.... but the gayest. i hate it i think. but it's funny. but i hate it.... i don't know what to think.

I watch alot of Comedy Central, Discovery Channel and the Travel Channel. Since my cable company put it together that TLC was a big hit with the Trading Spaces, that made it an Uber Premium channel. I have to get like 40 more spanish channels, 30 more Discovery Channels, and a couple of Oxygen channels to get TLC so I can at least see if Junk Yard Wars is still on.
I don't understand that show.
But I'll take yer dissapproval of it at face value.

I recently hooked up with digital cable. I now have 400 channels of absolute crap to sort through instead of 70 or so. Go figure!

I have the very basic cable line-up, too. And I always bitch about it - until today. A big storm came through town and my power was off for several hours. I missed my television!
Even though I don't watch it that much, not being able to turn it on drove me crazy.

i don't watch tv at all, really.
we don't have cable, and no rabbit ears, so nothing ever comes in.
once in a great while i will watch will and grace, or friends. but i don't go out of my way to catch these shows, its just "if i happen to be around not doing anything i'll maybe turn it on" but usually i don't even think of it until its too late.

I work 3rd shift, so that's one reason. The other reason, is that it all sucks. I don't have cable or satellite either (never have). Only thing I really like on cable is the speed channel. mmmm. rally racing.
it's all about futurama, which sadly is not coming on anymore...i miss it so much! i'm going to buy the seasons on dvd i think.
i just started watching that show nip/tuck (about plastic surgeons) on f/x, which i SO did not want to get hooked on but it's kind of good, dammit.
Futurama and Family Guy is being re-run on TBS in the afternoon.

Futurama reruns on the Adult Swim on Cartoon Network at like 11pm.
TV is crap. I watch very little and when I do it usually stuff on Discovery, Learning Channel, History Channel, Biography, pretty much anything thats NOT major netowrk junk. Some of the shows I've found worthwhile were Walking With Cavemen, the Technology of Lewis & Clark and the father - son chopper builders on Discovery. Of the major networks about the only thing I watch outside of the news is the 70's Show. I'd watch Will & Grace more if they'd kill off Will & Grace and make it Jack & Karen, those two are very funny. Jon Stewart's Daily Show on Comedy is also a good one. But overall, TV is crap and "reality" shows make me puke.
By the way, I DO NOT love Raymond.

Food Network, all the Discovery channels, occasionally Comedy Central, and the various sports events throughout are about the only worthwhile choices.
Oh, maybe Cartoon Network too.....
I'm really missing the days of sitcoms .. there's like maybe 8 of them left now .. lots of reality shows ... though I can't stand those junky wastes of a 1000 dollar budget. (Cept dog eat dog, the host of that one is a cuttie.)
I miss John Doe and Fast Lane. I watch Stargate often.
Oh .. last comic standing is pretty funny. Dat Phan rules. Oh and Insomniac with Dave Artell. Samurai Jack. Uh ... Dexter. That's what I watch. ;)
Will be watching Battle Star Galactica when SciFi airs its remake of it.
