Jun 23, 03 07:14 pm — Okay, I've got a problem, and I need some help.

I've got 2 pc's connected in a network, directly. The network works fine, the pc's do find each other and I can browse folders and so on.

However, I can not set up the connection sharing - I have an ISDN connection on one of the pcs, and I want the other one to use it for net access.

Both machines run Windows 98SE.

PC 1:
Static adapter IP: 192.168.0.1
Hostmask: 255.255.255.0

PC2:
Static adapter IP: 192.168.0.2
Hostmask: 255.255.255.0
DNS points to 192.168.0.1

I set up Internet Connection Sharing on the 1st machine, used the client disk on the 2nd machine, no go. I tried to remove the info (IP, DNS) from the TCP/IP properties of the network cards, still no go.

Any ideas?

My previous post might have been confusing, I'll try and explain better.

I have only 2 machines, no hubs, no nothing. The machines are connected to each other directly with a STP (crossed) cable. As I noted in my previous post, the nic's have their IPs set up in the TCP/IP protocol properties, and they work quite nicely - both machines see each other and I can move stuff around etc.

However, I cannot get ICS to work. What should I change in the setting sfor the machines specifically to get it working? If possible? :)

Oh, and thanks!
