You totally missed what the law suit is about. Read the article.
what would the fun be then?
Really, I lost interest after the first paragraph and took an educated guess. *shrug* :)
Hmmm. Looks *exactly* like the news I posted early this morning and a few links down from this one...
whoops sorry..but where? I try to be good with stuff like that.. I don't see it anywhere.
"Body Solutions sues for search engines for misleading customers"
Quite a powerful little movie.. though.. one could probably find similar faults with many different countries.. especially without supplying the context in which each event occurred...
But it IS a well done little movie...
Not entirely a dupe as I have posted a link to the section of video in question. I extracted it and compressed it for you all.
Anyhow, the video is much more "powerful" than a text excerpt.
Dupe of the dupe notification message.
for those that are curious, this is a clip from michael moore's bowling for columbine. i still find it incredibly hard to watch the wtc attacks - incredible what a visceral response it still gives. hard to stomach.
btw, the murder rate statistic montage from that film is very well done as well. thanks for sharing.
whoops. i didnt see the dupe message. my bad.

There is nothing wrong giving top billing to people who pay more. Search engines provide a service. They never say "Guaranteed to not be biased based on who pays us a lot of moolah!" or any some such thing. They just say "Search XXX amount of pages!" or whatnot.
It is wrong, however, to not inform people who sign up with you that their site will take a backseat to others that have paid more. That is withholding information that could directly affect their business. If the search engines named in the suit failed to tell clients of this then I think they did do wrong in the eyes of the law. However, if you are informed of their methods and still sign up with them then it is your own dumb fault.
