Apr 07, 03 03:47 pm — I figured many people would get a kick out of this clipping that I put online, but after having it rejected as "inappropriate" two times in a row, I decided to post the link in a journal, which is my first journal posting by the way.

Anyhow, at some point I am going to write a journal that rants about what I perceive as problems on Madville and ways to fix them, but that'll be a long rant; therefore, I will save that for when I have more time on my hands.

Here is the link:
A Brief History of the United States of America

Oh! By the way, the link is to an MPEG-4 encoded video, so you may need the latest quiktime plug-in to view the video. Some of you may remember where it's from. ::grin::

I was figuring that because it was rejected twice that it would be something really stupid, but it actually wasn't that bad, kinda funny, just a tad longer then I prefer.

I loved it. A lot of stuff I submitted got rejected so I stopped submittting stuff.

"Why, of course, the people don't want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia

Yup - it seems anything I submit that has to do with Canada, the US or Iraq gets rejected and it's not even "controversial" stuff. It gets very frustrating, especially when you take the time to look for a good piece. Maybe I will start a weekly journal - "My Top 10 Rejected Links for the Week" LOL

USA

War has been waged against us by stealth and deceit and murder. This nation is peaceful, but fierce when stirred to anger. This conflict was begun on the timing and terms of others. It will end in a way, and at an hour, of our choosing -President George W

I think I've found a subject for my next Journal... A little piece of investigative journalism that exposes the Orwellian idea where the moderators are more equal than us.

I have done a little digging... It seems as though the moderators all enjoy 90%+ approval of any links submitted... Hmm... I will compile some statistics and publish them shortly. =)

Yes, by moderating with a bias that supports their own personal viewpoints.

The latest figures show that my initial estimate of a 90% approval rating for moderator submitted links is incorrect.

I have found, through analysing dj28's submitted links from the beginning of the year, that dj28 has submitted about 363 links (+/- 5 links). Of his 363 submissions, 77% were APPROVED; still a rather staggering approval rating. Does anyonw have a higher rating?

Also, of the 363 links that dj28 has submitted, 112 were Political / News related in nature. Now, of the 112 Political / News related links, dj28 has enjoyed a 71% approval rating for those links.

I still think it's odd that one of the most politically vocal members of the moderation pool has a 71% approval rating for any of his political postings.

I think I have a 0% approval rating for political links. Any comments?
