It seems like it has some promise. If it runs as good as Linux and has all the features of Linux, but can run Adobe Photoshop, then I'm getting it as soon as possible. Though, I guess I can stick with Win2k since I get free software from work. Hehe. It pays to have a job.
Good idea but definetly needs a great deal of work and maturity to become a true Windows alternative.
Seems to me, Lindows has made more progress towards a common interface goal than most Linux distributions and Mac has made thus far. That would be a seamless installation across varied hardware platforms and the ability to universally run applications. Although we have seen only a smidgen of what it will be and only heard it 3rd party, I think Lindows definitely has a chance and hope that it continues to progress so that we may finally have a choice on the desktop.
I think it is a good alternative!

I've always stated my sources unless the thread is more than 50+ comments long or if it's a futile effort to convince someone that is already an ideologue. Stating sources to someone that going to say "sorry, that's wrong. My crackpot website has it right" is always a futile effort, and not worth my time.

I learned long ago not to even bother reading the crap dj writes. I'm sure his analyst could tell us why he's the way he is but when it comes right down to it, who the fuck cares?
Ever since hanging around here, that american flag avatar has been synonymous with dj and I always mistake other ppl for him so I wanted to make him a custom one for all the time and work he put into madville for trying to achieve the king of all pricks rep. 
Besides, I think he keeps the madvillians on their toes and its hilarious how you can tell from some of the comments that ppl are just itching to ass rape dj.
